Handicapable Pups

Here at ITDT we firmly believe dogs of all abilities are able to learn with positive reinforcement strategies.

From a training standpoint, it can be tough on an owner to re-learn how to communicate with a deaf or blind (or deaf and blind) canine. Rest assured it is possible to do!

In fact, our very own demo dog, Smudge (pictured below), is a double merle who is deaf and losing his vision. He is trained via tactile cues (touch) and is a great ambassador for dogs like himself.
